The first Lon Keller covers for Air Force games in 1955 depicted eagles. The falcon rendition first appearing on the cover of the program for the Colorado College game in 1956, the second year of the academy's existence, was adopted by the Academy as its sports logo. In 1995, Lon painted a larger version and presented it to the Academy. More
